Cold, tingling skin.

The betrayal of warmth.

Wishful thinking.

You've worn my pale skin for too long - undress.

Take off those boots of mine - I'm unimpressed.

For a single second just listen to what I've said.

A bullet ricochets through my mind and your head.

So, I’m a loser in your eyes.

Isn't that the thing you so despise?

A long time in the making.

My disease is taking me away.

… and you don’t get to see the fact

that I’m suffering to get you back.

Your shallow thoughts and friends today

may never see what we have made.

… something unforgettable, something irreplaceable.

But never mind, just carry on.

A jealous life – emotional.

… and there’s something you will never see;

me in my entirety.

Underneath me –

her.

Lumps, bumps – bones.

Mistaken growths and her

inability to lose hope
